20 May 2021 @ 14:00 – 21 May 2021 @ 10:00
This final conference represents the climax of the ETUC-SociAll project. The actions carried out in the framework of the project allowed Trade Unions to design knowledge-based contributions for an ambitious implementation of the Recommendation to Access to Social Protection for Workers and the Self-Employed. Trade union policy recommendations for inclusive, effective and adequate pensions and social protection for all will be launched at the event.
The implementation of the Recommendation on access to social protection for workers and self-employed allows to give concreteness to the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights and enhance dignity in ageing for millions of people in the EU. A high-level debate will develop in the context of the demographic, social and economic challenges, in the framework of the post-Covid recovery and the Action Plan for the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights.
National trade unions will discuss their demands for an ambitious implementation of the right to adequate pensions in their countries, while the ETUC will launch its demands for the European institutions to ensure that the needs of people in old age are satisfied.
The ETUC will put forward its demands and recommendations for the implementation of the Recommendation in line with the Principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights, involving also the upcoming review of economic governance.
Interpretation will be available in the following languages: EN, FR, DE, IT, ES, PL.
